The Vienna Social Fund (FSW) ensures that people in Vienna receive the support they need. Its services include care and support, assistance for the disabled, help for the homeless, debt counselling and basic services for refugees. Together with around 170 partner organisations, the FSW supports around 145,000 customers a year quickly and individually. With around 2,600 employees, the organisation is a pioneer in the health and social sector. The FSW is responsible for operating the 1450 telephone health counselling service in Vienna.

FSW's subsidiaries offer debt counselling, home nursing care, care in day centres for senior citizens as well as care and support for homeless and refugee people and training and further education for social and healthcare professions. The services also include housing at fair prices for various FSW target groups.
